Hand Protection

The right safety gloves for the task protect your team and reduce accidents. We supply general handling gloves, cut resistant gloves, thermal gloves, chemical resistant gloves, disposable gloves and welding gauntlets.

Our gloves are certified to the relevant standards, including EN 388 for mechanical risks, EN 374 for chemicals and micro-organisms, and EN 511 for cold. We can help you match gloves to your risk assessments and set them as mandatory items for the roles that need them.

Matching safety gloves to the task

Every glove we supply is marked with the standards it meets, so you can match it to the risk. EN 388 covers mechanical hazards such as abrasion, cuts, tears and punctures. EN 511 covers cold, EN 407 covers heat, EN ISO 374 covers chemicals and micro-organisms, and EN 12477 covers welding. We help you choose the right glove for each role, balancing protection with the grip and dexterity people need to do their job.

For general handling we recommend coated, breathable gloves that stay comfortable all day. For glass, sheet metal and sharp materials, cut-resistant gloves are essential, and for cleaning and hygiene work we supply disposable nitrile gloves. All can be ordered by role and size through iOrder.

Frequently asked questions

What do the numbers on EN 388 gloves mean?

The first four digits rate abrasion, blade cut, tear and puncture resistance. The letter that follows rates cut resistance using the ISO 13997 test, from A (lowest) to F (highest).

Which gloves should we use for cleaning chemicals?

Use chemical protective gloves certified to EN ISO 374-1, chosen for the chemicals on your safety data sheets. For light cleaning, disposable nitrile gloves are usually suitable.

Do gloves come in different sizes?

Yes. Most ranges come in several hand sizes, and a glove that fits properly is safer and more comfortable to wear.
